3D View 03062010Fund raising is underway following Archbishop Barry Hickey approval for the building of a new parish church in Chittering to be named after the Divine Mercy.

Fr Paul is appealing for donations and prayers, an appeal Archbishop Hickey has endorsed in his letter of approval.

The church has been designed by Peter Anthes and will be built on Maryville land donated to the archdiocese by the Prindiville Group. This means that both the land and the church will be owned by the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth.

The new church will be somewhat similar  in style to St Anne’s Church in Bindoon but much bigger owing to the expected long-term population growth in the area.
