Welcome to the Visitation Parish of Gingin-Chittering

The Visitation Parish of Gingin-Chittering in Western Australia, serves the communities Bullsbrook, Muchea, Gingin, Lower Chittering, and Bindoon.

Just an hours drive from Perth and a short drive from the Swan Valley the parish is blessed with the beautiful countryside of the Chittering and Gingin shires in the Northern Wheatbelt.

Our beautiful new Archdiocesan Divine Mercy Church which is currently under construction at 34 Santa Gertudis Drive, Lower Chittering, was made possible by a bequest from a long time friend of the parish. The bequest was specifically for the construction of the Church, Hall and Parish Centre/Presbytery. Many other benefactors have and still are contributing through donation of pews, windows, furnishings and many other items which will help to make a truly special place of worship and pilgrimage.
Immaculate Heart College, is adjacent to the Church. It was officially blessed and opened by Archbishop Hickey in 2012. The College is governed by a Board of Directors under the auspices of the Association of Independent Schools in WA (AISWA), through which it receives Government Funding.  The College has gained a well deserved reputation in the community for excellence in all areas of academic education, including the Catholic Faith and Virtues.  Although adjacent to the Church, the College is a separate entity and is funded entirely separately  to the Parish, through Government per capita grants and tuition fees.

Fr. Andy Cravalho CPM who conducted a mission in the parish recently has this to say about the College: "I was very impressed by Immaculate Heart College. It was very encouraging to see the faith and generosity of the staff, teachers, and students in their daily duties. The Catholic formation that children receive at Immaculate Heart College will continue to bring the light of Christ to Western Australia, as well as the world. May God bless all who give of their time, talent, and treasure to this beautiful Catholic academic institution."
Thank you again, Father. May God bless you and your parishes.
In Christ,
Fr. Andy Cravalho, CPM

The Catholic Churches of St Anne’s Bindoon, St Catherine’s Gingin, Our Lady’s Shrine Bullsbrook and the new complex at Lower Chittering attract worshippers from across the parish, and with an ever expanding population their presence as a focal point for the community is increasingly important.

Parish Priest, Father Paul Fox, divides his time between these four growing vibrant communities and the new  School, Immaculate Heart College.

The parish welcomes all residents and visitors.
